Carringtons Pharmacy (John Carrington Ltd) is a dispensing chemist owned by John Carrington (Pharmacist) at 128 Rake Lane, Wallasey, CH45 5DL serving Wallasey, Liscard, New Brighton, Egremont, Poulton, Seacombe and Leasowe

We provide a repeat prescription collection and delivery service for patients prescriptions from all local GP surgeries. The surgeries that we work closely with include doctors and community nurses from Seabank and Earlston Medical Centre on Earlston Road, Manor Health Centre at the bottom of Rake Lane, Central Park Medical Centre and Liscard Group Practice based in Victoria Central Health Centre, Mill Lane, The Village Practice (Wallasey Village Group Practice and Grove Medical Centre), Grove Road Surgery, St Hilary Brow Group Practice, Egremont Medical Centre and both practices on Field Road - St Georges Medical Centre and Field Road Surgery.

We can also provide this for customers at any other GP surgeries throughout the Wirral. At Carringtons Pharmacy, we provide a wide range of professional services. These include, NHS and private prescription dispensing, repeat dispensing and repeat prescription ordering, prescription collection and delivery service, Electronic Prescription Service (EPS). Medication can be dispensed for patients who require assistance with compliance aids such as, Venalink, Nomad, Pillmate. Carringtons Pharmacy also provide a dispening service for Care Homes and Nursing Homes which includes Medication Adherence Records (MAR charts) and 28 day cycle or weekly blister packs. Medication can be supplied to homes on racks or in trolleys if required.

We can also provide a range of additional enhanced services including Medicine Use Reviews (MURs), New Medicines Service (NMS), Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) / Smoking Cessation in conjunction with Wirral Stop Smoking Service, Alcohol Screening including Brief Interventions and Referrals to the Harm Reduction Team at Wirral Health and Alcohol Treatment ('what?'). We also have a team of Weight Management advisors who run a weight loss clinic providing the Lipotrim meal replacement sachet diet.

Our team of experienced and professionally trained staff (including Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, Dispensing Assistants, Dispensers, Counter Assistants and Delivery Driver) make up a workforce that is able to supply advice on any aspect of pharmacy services and advise on OTC medicine or treatments and healthcare for the whole family from baby to child to adult to elderly. Our range of OTC products include cough,cold and sore throat medicine, hayfever and allergy relief, pain relief and pain killers, headlice treatments, worming tablets, eye drops, ear drops, nasal sprays and we will happily order in other medication depending on your symptom / symptoms.

We also supply vitamins, liquid tonics, Complan and Build Up, treatments for thrush, athletes foot and other fungal conditions. Upset stomach, indigestion, wind, constipation, diarrhoea and nausea medications can also be provided (these may include Imodium Capsules, Motilium Tablets, etc.) John Carrington MPHARMS is a member of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) and has been a practising Pharmacist for over 30 years. John has a long serving team of staff. Nikki Craze is the Pharmacy Manager and GPhC registered Technician. Richard Curry (Richie), Daniel Curry, Rachael Jones and Kelly Descombes are all Dispensers. Neil Thomas (Tommo / Mr Jolly) is the delivery driver. Richard Wildman is our regular locum pharmacist who is also registered with the GPhC and RPS.
